“Birds of the Borough” by local artist Becca Hoodless is a collection of paintings inspired by her work commute around South Norwood Lake and Grounds over the past year. Since moving to the local area, Becca has been incredibly surprised by the variety of birds she has encountered on such a short journey. Everyday, she began recognising and noticing patterns in their calls (some recordings are located throughout the exhibition), as she witnessed chicks become juveniles, and certain species appear and disappear as they migrated.
